I grew up going to Church and you were just told to believe in everything they taught and what your family believed. After some really hard times I began to question my faith. I did my own reading and soul searching and found that Christianity just wasn't for me. I have now turned towards Eastern philosophies as my belief system and spiritual foundation.
With that being said, I really found it interesting when the DaVinci Code came out. I know its a work of fiction but so much of it those basic theories have been researched and I have not stopped reading about it yet. I really do believe that Jesus was married to Mary Magdelene, that this is the "grail" that the Knights Templars were made to keep secret. I find the whole church cover up really intriguing. The church just did all it could to cover up this fact so that they could keep their vision of "the holy son" intact. They have done nothing but string along believers into believing so much that simply isn't true.
I find it interesting as a psychology major that so many people just trust blind faith without really questioning what it is they belief in. Maybe that is why there are so many lost people, wondering around with no true help or beliefs that can truly help them when they need it the most.
